Education in Esher
Though it’s located within the Greater London Urban Area, Esher is a surprisingly small community of just under 7,000 residents. Largely suburban, the area is populated by a considerable number of families with children who are educated locally. Whilst Esher may not be home to all that many of Surrey’s 506 schools, it is still an area affected by overpopulation. At present around 29% of the town and surrounding areas state primary schools are above capacity, as well as some 34% of its state secondary institutions.
Maths is important
If you fancy a seven figure salary, a home in the Cayman Islands or a career in teaching, these could be yours if you decide to take maths at ‘A’ Level and beyond. It can also lead to a career in finance, medical research or even meteorology. After taking your GCSEs there are basically two choices – either take a vocational course or sign up to academic courses. Many argue that ‘A’ Level mathematics is one of the most valued subject, valued both by employers and by universities. Employers want people who have common sense, can think for themselves and won’t shy away from making decisions, key attributes which they find in candidates who have studied mathematics. Aside from the financial implications of studying maths, mathematics teaches you to learn deeper and think logically. Taking maths will empower you and prepare you for what comes next, both career-wise and personally.
